I love to host parties – especially kids’ birthday parties. Their eyes light up with anticipation, in fact they’ll remember this day forever. Long-lasting decoration for a long-lasting tradition
Choose reusable decorations like fabric banners, bunting, or handmade decorations that can be used for future parties. What’s more, online seller Etsy and boutique shops offer handmade fabric banners for many themes and in many colors. At the same time creating the decoration can also be a fun activity with your kids before the event. Then your decoration will be ready to be used for many more birthdays.

Party favors that make the party and the friendship unforgettable.
It’s no secret that kids love little trinkets as birthday party favors. To make the party unforgettable, send the kids on their way with a sustainable alternatives like homemade playdough or seeds embedded in paper that can be planted. Or, encouraging experiences, the kids can make the sustainable gift themselves at the party and then take them home as souvenirs. Ideally, it is a lasting reminder of a beautiful day and strengthens the bond of friendship.

Activities to combat boredom
Plan activities that promote creativity and sustainability like a crafting station using recycled material or nature scavenger hunt. Here are some indoor and outdoor examples of activities:
Get Creative. Ceramic Painting – Appropriate paint and inexpensive ceramics are available at most good craft stores. After the kids have finished their designs, you can drop them off at a local kiln to get them fired.
Try a Nature Treasure Hunt. Kids love rifling through a backyard for goodies all year round and all you have to do is write out a series of clues for the children to find nature objects.
Turn Your Backyard into a Campsite. A backyard campsite is the perfect setting for your outdoor birthday party games. Provided that you have a yard – or perhaps a nearby park – the kids can enjoy some orienteering-scavenger-hunting. Let them choose their own games or just spend time exploring. Set up a tent or teepee for the parents, and don’t forget the s’mores!
